DIGITAL MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS

Training and Courses

Convergent provides training and short courses in the use of our software tools as well as a primer on processing fundamentals.

Courses are either given on-line, at Convergent's facilities in Vancouver, Canada, or at a customer site.

Our standard courses are described below. Upon request, Convergent can add training modules on topics that your team requires additional assistance with.

  • Attendees should be generally familiar with cure cycles and composites manufacturing

 Course Content:

  • Overview of RAVEN interface
  • Basic simulations:
    • Cure kinetics, gelation, vitrification, viscosity, modulus development
  • 1D drill through analysis:
    • Thermal gradients, thermal lags, exotherm prediction, property gradients
  • 2D cross section analysis:
    • Thermal distribution, edge effects, property distributions
  • Data management
  • Process inputs
    • Material characterization
